Security and data
Your data remains yours.
ThruFly is designed to turn operational activity into a structured, searchable and auditable record. That gives organizations greater visibility into aircraft turns, crew activity, equipment readiness, task execution and operational performance, without compromising ownership of their information. We are an early-stage company, so we say plainly how we approach it rather than overstate it.
Our commitments
- Your operational data remains yours
- Ownership, access, retention and exit terms are agreed in writing before a pilot begins
- We use your data to run the pilot and report back to you, and for nothing else without your written permission
- We do not sell customer data
- An NDA is available before any detailed walkthrough
What a pilot would involve
- Task and checklist completion, with timestamps
- Equipment status
- Issue notes entered by crew
- A pilot is scoped so it does not require passenger personal data
- ThruFly is not connected to your other systems, so nothing is shared with them
What the written agreement covers.
Ownership
Who owns the data created during the pilot. Our starting position: you do.
Access and use
Who can see it, and what we may use it for.
Retention and exit
How long it is kept, and what is returned or deleted when the pilot ends.
Where we are today
ThruFly is early-stage and pre-pilot. We do not yet hold third-party security certifications such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001. Which framework to pursue first is something we would decide with early partners, based on what their security teams require.
When your IT or security team sends a questionnaire, we will answer it in writing, and where the honest answer is "not yet" we will say so. Technical controls are scoped with your security team before a pilot starts. See also how ThruFly fits alongside your systems.

This page describes our current approach and commitments. It is not a contract. Terms for any pilot are agreed in writing.
How we handle crew data.
Operational intelligence should help a station, not surveil its people. ThruFly is designed around these principles.
- Health and risk are shown per turn, not as a ranking of individual crew members
- Your station sets the thresholds and decides who can see what
- Data is used to run the pilot and for no other purpose without your agreement
- Ownership, access, retention and exit terms are agreed in writing before a pilot begins
- You can ask for your data to be exported or deleted at the end of a pilot
- Questions about crew privacy, labor agreements or works-council rules are welcome before you commit
